Title: Sam Meets The Doctor (1/5)
Fandoms: West Wing, Doctor Who
WC: 589
Characters: Sam, The Doctor (Ten)
Rating: PG
Summary: Sam was used to people not knowing the High Holy Days. He wasn’t quite used to strange men coming out of Police Call boxes not knowing the year, but he was lonely after the death of Toby, and this man reminded him of Toby, in some way that he couldn’t quite place his finger on.
Notes: Written for
tww_minis round of 'isolation', and
daysofawesome. It's a 5-part, 5-day look at Sam and the Doctor's journey towards forgiving themselves during the high holy days- for the events of the past year. Set 2017- post series 4 for the Doctor (so the Doctor and 'past year' are meant to be taken liberally), and post Toby's death for Sam.

WC: 1,381
Characters: Andromeda Tonks, Charlie Weasley, cameos by Bill Weasley and Teddy Lupin
Rating: PG-13 for thematics / character death
Summary: Charlie goes to speak with Andromeda after the Battle of Hogwarts
Notes: Spoilers for DH. This combines several Charlies that I've played, along with canon!Tonks and several Tonks' that I've played. And of course, Andromeda is taken from the best Andromeda I've ever seen played. :) Yes, the title of the fic is from James Horner's Titanic, but you know what? The man is a god, seriously. And that song is amazing (especially the first 54 seconds). And it fits the theme of this fic. So there.

Title: Codex
WC: 1577
Characters: Reinette, angels, Satan (references to the Doctor)
Rating: Pg-13 for thematic
Summary: Satan takes on the angels for the fate of Reinette, who are themselves taking on the Doctor for the fate of Reinette.
Notes: This was written for
alixtii as a pinch hit for
ninebillion and her prompt was: Reinette. Choirs of angels, seraphim and cherubim, and Satan who rebelled against God.
Obvious spoiler is Doctor Who 2.04, The Girl in the Fireplace. Title derived from Reinette's line about her life being like a book and the slow/fast paths. Also, I'm not sure how great the French is in here, I used BabelFish.
Warnings: I took the Catholic Tradition of God (and Satan) and turned them on their heads to mesh it with the world of Doctor Who. God more so than Satan. God in this story is not all-powerful within the reaches of the Universe. I'm just going to put that out there in case anyone decides to get good and offended. It's not meant in any way to be offensive, but if you get iffy about that stuff, don't read.

Title: The Slaying of the Children of Niobe
WC: 674
Characters: Artemis and Apollo; Niobe and her children
Rating: PG, for light violence.
Summary: well, the title pretty much says it all
Note 1: Hokay. Greek Gods are HARD. Some of the children of Zeus are named in the story, but really, I think he had like, 50. At least! So just the major ones, really. (And even then, there's discussion on whether they 'count' or not! Rhadamanthys doesn't even make the list, poor thing.) Further complicating matters, Tantalus is ALSO a child of Zeus. Like I said, Greek Gods are HARD. This doesn't even BEGIN to cover it, though I did reference it for the conversation Artemis and Apollo have.
Note2: I used some of the more uncommon myths surrounding the twins and the Niobids. There are twenty in this story, and while Chloris and Amyclas are mentioned, I may not have kept them alive. I might have though. Which is why you should finally read. :)

WC: 1251
Characters: Artemis/Apollo, references to several other gods/characters
Rating: R (non-con)
Summary: They were born into it, the world of the gods, and this was the price they both paid for it.
Notes: Um … yeah. I don't know what to say about this, really. It fits the prompt, though not in a way I think the prompter might have suggested/wanted. I stayed with early mythology; Artemis is a hunter and not yet associated with the moon. Chione is regarded as an affair, thought I tweaked that a little bit. Several of the myths referenced have different outcomes/explanations attached to them; for those I went with the one that fit this particular story better.

Title: Misquoting (Another Lover of Toby Ziegler)
WC: 2059
Characters: Toby/Ellie, Ellie, Toby/Sam, UFC (briefly)
Rating: Pg-13
Summary: on Thursday nights, when she is not there, she can hear the whispers
Notes: There's so much I want to say about this fic, about how it all ties together, losing the baby (implied), the drowning, the need of Toby as almost a drug, the final surfacing for air and finding some redemption in it, but I couldn't say it right, I don't think. So I'll just leave you with it. Prompts for it were: Ellie, underwater. Toby/Ellie, sidewalk (um, didn't really do this part), friends with benefits. Oh, um, spoilers for Otis as well? Totally unintentional. And I hope it still works. The whole thing is really dialog happy, and I don't know if I like that. And it assumes that Toby was seeing multiple people at the same time. Which I think works, if it's done right. Because he's ok with being what he is to different people. With loving them in separate ways. Alright, done rambling. All yours now. Feedback/Concrit is love.

Title: Whispers (He's Not Mine)
WC: 1369
Characters: Juno, Vanessa, OMC (Juno/Vanessa's son). A bit of Bleeker.
Rating: PG
Notes: I know that Juno seems harsh in here, but … she made a choice and is living by it. I can't fault her for it (despite identifying with her son).

Title: Dresden
WC: 613
Characters: Don and Charlie
Rating: PG-13 (for thematics)
Summary: It hardly seems fair that the power to end the world lies in the hands of mathematicians
Notes: I have no idea how something like this would actually work, just merely speculation. The title is taken from a famous town in Germany that Allied forces firebombed, destroying the down and killing thousands.

Notes: inspired by my crack-chat with Em. A word is still a word. A word is significant. A random jumble of twenty-six characters. Molly walks through memories with her father and tries to understand. Some excerpts from an old journal entry on my father taken and used.
